VANS VS TRAILERS

Although the very retro and ubiquitous Citroen HY van has become synonymous with street food and markets in cities and towns across the country, there are a number of reasons why having a trailer is easier. And it can look just as good, if not better! Old vans have a huge amount of kerb appeal but with an old van comes and old engine. With an old engine and running gear there are lots of mechanical parts that can go wrong. The maintenance costs are high, the driving is slow and the reliability can be severely lacking. Towing a trailer has its own obvious challenges, but they do not need to be roadworthy tested each year, it's not another vehicle to pay tax and road insurance on. They are cheaper to buy and cheaper to maintain.
